Girl Power Trip

  • JAR Farms 2900 Paradise Drive Tiburon, CA, 94920 United States (map)

“Girl power” looks great on a glittery t-shirt but how do we actually cultivate and unleash that power in us?

How do we keep the world from making us conform, be “likable”, go along, and be “good girls”? How do we seize the raw power of being girl and keep it from getting squashed as we enter adolescence?

Have we put too much pressure on girls to be the emotional center of the world, but also as tough and achieving as men?

Catherine Connors is an author, entrepreneur, former Walt Disney Co. exec and academic who has spent decades studying the stories and empowerment of young girls and women throughout history and in our society now.

She’s partnering with JAR Farms for this one of a kind three-day intensive aimed at girls 11 years old and older and female mentors in their lives, whether their mothers, aunts, or a family friend. Through three days of workshops, activities, trust-building, and holding space, we’ll say what so often goes unspoken between female generations, and give generations Z and Alpha the permission and tools to remain our raw, unique, authentic, and powerful selves.

Attendees get two free tickets to the Chelsey Goodan dinner on the same weekend! A $300 value!

(Price includes all materials and chef-made farm-to-table meals. It does not include lodging. For non-locals, we recommend The Water’s Edge Hotel in Downtown Tiburon or The Tiburon Lodge.)
